Most local and national newspapers have websites which include sections for job vacancies. Sometimes, you'll find job vacancies listed in the classifieds section.

National newspapers carry vacancies from all over the UK, but your local newspaper will have more jobs in your area.

Try both types of newspaper sites, and check them regularly if you're doing serious job-hunting.

If you don't mind relocating, check newspapers from other towns and cities.

It's also worth checking your local newspaper, magazines and periodicals in your local library - they have free copies of most publications and they're all together in one place (saves time).

While you're at the library, you can also research employers when making applications or when you're preparing for interviews.
